How to get the most affordable electricity during a blizzard

by Donny on December 28, 2010

With the recent bad weather on northeast coast, I’m so glad I live in the south.

I don’t have to deal with a blizzard that keeps me in the house. I don’t have to scrape snow off my car before going into work, that is, if I can get there at all, and I don’t have to warm up my car 30 minutes before I attempt to leave.

Life in the south is pretty sweet, especially right now.

However, I do feel bad for those living in such terrible weather.

Thousands of flights in New York City were cancelled, and there’s about two feet of snow on the ground, and more continues to fall.

The state of Pennsylvania is no exception either. The Philadelphia Eagles were set to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Philly.

That game was originally slated for Sunday night, but got postponed due to a blizzard.

It must have been bad for them to take such drastic measures, because usually, they’ll play football in heavy snow or rain.

There is an upside for Pennsylvania residents though; if they’re living in a deregulated area of the state, they have the ability to choose the most affordable electricity company and rate.

If you’re currently living in Pennsylvania and are in the market for electricity, simply type your zip code into our compare box to see what deals are offered near you.
