Affordable Energy in Lowell, MA

by Donny on March 4, 2011

Lowell is the fifth most populous city in the state of Massachusetts with a population of about 104,000. It’s located in Middlesex County and is about 30 miles northwest of Boston, the state’s largest city.

The town itself was founded in the 1820s, and Boston Associates Nathan Appleton, Patrick Tracey Jackson and others named the new town Lowell in honor of Francis Cabot, who they believed was the visionary leader, but had died about five years prior to the town’s incorporation in 1823.

The town had grown significantly through the next two decades and by the 1850s, it had grown into one of the nation’s largest industrial complexes in the nation which attracted several thousand residents.

One thing that can attract residents today is the fact they have the right and the ability to choose the most affordable electricity rates for their commercial businesses, and the government has no say in which provider they pick.

If you’re in the market for a new energy plan for your company, you can shop and compare different rates before choosing signing up with whichever one fits your situation the best.

Simply type your zip code into our compare box to see what companies offer the cheapest rates.
