Rochester Electricity Rates

by Donny on April 6, 2011

Rochester is New York’s third largest city after New York City itself and Buffalo. Its population is about 210,565.

It’s located in western New York about 74 miles east of Buffalo.

Residents of Rochester love their city and it has been recognized as a good place to live on more than one in occasion.

Take 2007 for instance. That was the year it was ranked by ‘Place Rated Almanac’ as the sixth-best place to live.

Then, just last year, Forbes Magazine named it the third best place to raise a family.

One factor that might contribute to making it such a great place that people don’t necessarily often think about is the fact its residents have the option of choosing the most affordable electricity rates and providers for their commercial business.

New York recently joined a handful of other states to have become deregulated which means residents throughout the state don’t have to settle for a company just because it’s the only provider in the area. The choice is now up to the consumers, not the government.

If you own or manage a business and are looking for a new energy provider and rate in Rochester or another deregulated area, just punch your zip code into our compare box and select commercial to compare rates.

Once you do this, if you still have further questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-971-4020 to speak to one of our expert energy consultants.

The city has earned several nicknames like, The World’s Image Centre,The Flour City and The Flower City.
